About Madhya Pradesh RERA
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 was enacted by the Parliament of India to protect the interests of homebuyers and promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the real estate sector. The Act aims to regulate the real estate industry, encourage investment, and establish a fair and transparent framework for transactions between promoters, real estate agents, and allottees.
In pursuance of the provisions of the Act, the Government of Madhya Pradesh established the Madhya Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MPRERA) to regulate and promote the real estate sector within the State. The Authority seeks to ensure timely completion of projects, transparency in project disclosures, protection of consumer interests, and effective grievance redressal.
The Act was introduced in response to increasing concerns regarding delays in project completion, lack of transparency, unfair practices, and inadequate consumer protection in the real estate market. MPRERA functions as an independent regulatory body dedicated to safeguarding the interests of homebuyers while fostering professionalism, accountability, and investor confidence in the sector.
The Authority also facilitates registration of real estate projects and agents, monitors compliance with statutory requirements, and provides a fast-track mechanism for dispute resolution. Through regulatory oversight and digital disclosures, MPRERA strives to create a healthy, transparent, efficient, and competitive real estate environment in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
