About Goa RERA

The real estate sector has grown significantly in recent years but has largely remained unregulated from the perspective of consumer protection. Although consumer protection laws are available, the remedies provided are mainly curative rather than preventive.

The Government of India enacted the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, and all sections of the Act came into force with effect from May 1, 2017.
